The enemy accuses. The Word answers.
Every day, the accuser brings his charges. He reminds you of your failures, your sins, your inadequacies. He presents evidence of your unworthiness with devastating accuracy. He prosecutes your soul with facts you cannot deny.
And if you have no answer, you will be crushed under the weight of his accusations.
But you have an answer. You have the Word.
Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? The answer is not that the charges are false. Many of them are true. You did fail. You did sin. You are inadequate. The enemy's evidence is often accurate.
But accuracy is not the point.
The point is justification. God has declared you righteous. You are not—but Christ is, and His righteousness has been credited to your account. The charges that would condemn you have already been answered at the cross. The verdict that should destroy you has been overturned by grace.
This is the Word you must wield against accusation.
When the enemy comes with his list of failures, you do not argue—you quote. "Who shall bring any charge against God's elect?" When he presents evidence of your sin, you do not deny—you declare. "It is God who justifies."
The accusation does not disappear. But its power does. It cannot condemn what God has already pardoned.
Know this verse. Memorize this verse. Wield it every time the accuser opens his mouth.
PRAYER: Lord, I have been crushed by accusations I could not answer. The enemy has presented true evidence of my sin, and I have had no defense. But You have given me one: You justify. Drive this truth so deep into my heart that no accusation can shake it. In Jesus' name. Amen.
ACTION: Memorize Romans 8:33-34 this week. Use it the next time the accuser attacks.
