The Word divides things you thought were the same.

Soul and spirit. Joints and marrow. Thoughts and intentions. These are not obvious distinctions. They are subtle divisions that only the sharpest blade can make.

This is the precision of Scripture.

You have confused your emotions with the Spirit's leading. You have mistaken your desires for God's will. You have been unable to tell the difference between what you want and what is right, between what feels good and what is good.

The Word divides.

It separates what you have merged. It shows you the difference between the voice of God and the voice of self. It exposes the thoughts you claim are neutral and reveals the intentions beneath them.

Let the Word cut.

Let it show you the difference between what is from God and what is merely from you. Let its precision bring clarity to the chaos within.
